About Mary:

*Frederiksminde Marion was imported from the legendary Frederiksminde stud in Denmark, as a two year old with the breeders statement, "Marion is one of our very finest fillies." This is quite a statement coming from the Frederiksminde stud, as they have produced an abundance of superior Connemara ponies. Today, this statement is followed with additional praise from the Frederiksminde stud, sharing their admiration with how Marion has matured, feeling that she is indeed a candidate to win at Clifden. Marion is a lovely, original type mare which is quite rare to find in the United States. Her pedigree is extremely valuable with a strong female line and powerful male line - all proven to excellence.

Marion's sire is the legendary Hazy Dawn (Dale Haze x Castle Park x Abbeyleix Owen). The Hazy dynasty includes many jewels of successful progeny around the world, including Denmark, Sweden, Germany, England, Ireland and the USA - amongst these include 13 approved sons (as of 2004).

Hazy "supremes" in 2005 consist of Frederiksminde Maddy (Hazy Dawn x Oxenholm Movie Star) - supreme champion in Denmark; Frederiksminde Charisma (Hazy Dawn x Fredriksminde Christina) - supreme champion in Northern Germany; Skousbo Morning Rock (Hazy Dawn x Frederiksminde Mellow) - supreme champion in Southern Germany; *Frederiksminde Marion (Hazy Dawn x Oxenholm Movie Star) supreme champion in Northern California (USA). Hazy Dawn descendants continue the pattern of supreme champion awards and champion successes.

Marion's dam is the legendary mare Oxenholm Movie Star ( Marble x Oxenholm Marigold x Oxenholm Godot). Movie Star has produced an illustrious string of Connemara-pearls, such as Frederiksminde Hazy Move On, stallion son in Germany; Frederiksminde Molly, successful daughter in England; Frederiksminde Marion, supreme all-over mare (2005) in Northern CA (USA); and many others.

At home with the Legacy family in Galena, Missouri - Marion is an absolute delight. She has an impeccable temperament, is a fabulously smart mother, and her movement is poetry in motion.
