About Camelot:
Camelot caught the fancy of Mel's eye the day he foaled at Legacy, and soon there after, it was decided that he would be retained with Legacy - watching him grow and mature, with special interest towards adding him as a possible (future) farm sire.
Camelot is named after, and in honor of his paternal grand sire, Cocum Camelot (Thunderbolt x Cocum Prima Donna - by Leam Bobby Finn). Cocum Camelot is the foundation sire at the Sydserff Stud in Scotland, and is proven time over for his outstanding foals.
Camelot's sire is the Scottish imported Connemara stallion *Sydserff Avalon (aka Sonny). Sonny is a very successful dressage pony in Southern California, and farm sire at Gately Farms. Sonny is an ACPS Inspected and Approved breeding stallion.
Camelot's dam, 'Cedar's Charm' is by the English imported stallion *Hearnesbrook Dunoon. Charm has earned several In-Hand awards, as well as Region X, Res. Champion Mare (out of 12 entries) - judged by Caroline Nesbit. Charm is a wonderful riding pony and has produced 4 fabulous, quality foals for us at Legacy, with her 5th foal due in the Spring of 08 (sired by Century Hill's Zodiac Flynn). Charm is ACPS Inspected and Approved.
At Legacy, we love Camelot's temperament, free straight movement, along with his strong, compact Connemara type that is oh-so pony!
Camelot's first foals will begin to make their debut in the Spring of 2008!
While we highly appreciate the inquiries, Camelot will not be available for outside breeding, due to our rural location.
